Nestos valley A 15 km long footpath between the places of Toxotes and Stavroupoli, offers a unique nature experience.
		Kavala   The city was founded in the 4th Cent. B.C. and originally named "Neapolis”. It is built by the sea in an amphitheatrical way. In the numerous buildings from different ages, the visitor can read the varied history of north Greece.
			Xanthi   Capital of the prefecture of the same name, with long tradition as a metropolis of tobacco trade. Seat of the university of Thrace. Worth seeing among other things, is the traditional Old Town with the seat of the bishop, the old covered market and every Saturday a big open-air oriental bazaar is taking place.
